Author Harris L. Kligman is on the cusp of releasing his tenth novel, "The World Of Nicholas Lord" and third illustrated children's book, "The Wordman." We caught up with the author and asked him four specific questions submitted on behalf of his Instagram followers.
How do you celebrate when you finish your book?
"When I finish a book, I'm in an up mood. I've just created something out of nothing. I've created characters that take on a life of their own and a story line that moves these created characters through situations that most people cannot fathom or have ever experienced. I've provided the reader with a way to accompany my characters on an adventure and in many ways identify with them."
What do you do to get inside your character’s heads?
"All my characters, both men and women, are people I've met over thirty-five years of constant international travel over three continents - South America, the Far East and Africa. I've changed these characters and situations where/as necessary to fit the story line. I know them and become them when I write."
If you could invite any three people for dinner, whom would you invite?
"Nelson Mandela, the South African Social and Political activist. Golda Meir, Prime Minister, George Orwell, an outstanding and memorable author."
If you had to describe yourself in just three words, what would those be?
"Original, Dedicated and Conscientious."
